Pressing Instructions for Ready to Press Transfers

DTF Transfer Pressing Instructions

MUST HAVE A HEAT PRESS

Temp: 320-338 degrees F

Pressure: med/firm

Time: 15-20 seconds

Teflon or parchment paper on top

COLD peel - transfer must cool down completely prior to removing the transfer film.  Recommended to pull off at an angle.

For a matte finish, place garment back on press and press again uncovered (no teflon or parchment) for 5-10 seconds.  This is recommended to really adhere the design into the fibers of the apparel item.

**If you notice some residue on your garment from the film, place teflon directly over the image and press again for 10 seconds, this should remove the residue.**

Sublimation Transfer Pressing Instructions

Sublimation is a transfer that is printed using special ink that when pressed on a light colored, high polyester count apparel item will fuse the ink into the item for a completely seamless feel.  For best results, 100% polyester is recommended for the most vibrant color transfer; however, anything above 50% polyester will work.  Just understand that the less the polyester count, the less vibrant the colors from the transfer will be and will fade over time with washing.

**With sublimation WHITE DOES NOT PRINT, so keep that in mind if you are using a color item other than white, the areas that appear white in the transfer will be the color of the apparel item.**

MUST HAVE A HEAT PRESS

Temp: 350-385 degrees F

Pressure: firm/heavy

Time: 60-80 seconds

Place parchment paper in between apparel item to ensure the transfer does not bleed to the back of the item when pressed.  Place transfer, , cover with parchment paper and teflon.  You may wish to secure your transfer with heat transfer tape to prevent movement or you may get a shadow effect on your item.

**Prior to pressing - It is recommended to trim/tear around the sublimation transfer to avoid harsh lines and unwanted ink spots that may have printed on the edges during the printing process.**
